Sharp quartz sand

This a high quality building product used for Block paving, paving slabs, as illustrated in the photo, also aids good drainage due to the particle size of 0-4mm, making it a fine bedding sand.
Other applications are screeding, mixed up to make coarse cement, added with gravel to make concrete, mixed up with soft sand to create a 50/50 mix for plasterers screeding/rendering, and used for back fill pipe bedding because of the drainage qualities.

Potton Sand 0-2mm Screened
This unique Sand from Potton is the preferred choice for its quality smooth consistency. Potton Sand is used for mixing mortars, renders and bricklaying, and is renowned to be one of the best for a strong easy to work with mix.
The preferred soft sand for high quality smooth mortar mix. Potton sand is terracotta in colour.
When mixed with cement powder the colour is neutralised to the darker grey tones of mortar mix.

Silica Sand is light and soft, it varies is shades of colour, it tends to be silvery white in colour.
The Silica sand particles are finer and sub-angular with a more rounded shape allowing the sand to fall freely away from the animal or children's skin folds when in contact, thus preventing rubbing, sores and staining as this does occur with other sands.
Silica Sand is perfectly suitable for riding arenas, lunges, gallops, race tracks and turnouts, often used in a mixture with rubber chip and/or fibre, helping to improve the performance for the horse and rider.
We have supplied many Schools and Nursery's with Silica sand, they are safe in the knowledge that they will all have a great time playing in the sand, or gaining their personnel best Long Jump on soft stain free sand.
